The Challenge With a limited budget and tight turnaround ahead of Gamescom, the project needed to land fast and hit hard. The game was still in development, meaning gameplay footage would arrive late in the process - if at all. On top of that, the creative direction had to lean into the nostalgic tone of the original 90s Jumanji films, while avoiding visual cues from the newer reboots.

The Approach To build anticipation and honour the legacy of the original Jumanji films, the teaser leaned into iconic visual and audio cues—most notably, the game board and the unmistakable Jumanji drums. The pacing was crafted to slowly build tension, signalling that the game was about to begin, without relying on gameplay footage.

The Result Premiered at Gamescom, the trailer successfully sparked audience excitement by tapping into 90s nostalgia and the emotional cues of the original franchise. It generated strong anticipation for the game’s release, setting the tone for future marketing and worldbuilding.
